Mountain biking is just plain fun. It is also easy, and if done right, quite safe and crash free. If you don't know how, it can be quite dangerous and frightening. .
Our lessons make all of the difference! That is why we design our tours around them.
Our lessons are gentle and easy. We have guided hundreds of beginners and are very familiar with their problems. No need to worry about how you will look. The lessons are private and no one will be judging you. Your abilities and wishes set the parameters. You will never be asked to do what you are not able to or comfortable with. Our guest have ranged from 10 years to mid 70s'. Our success stories (every one) include all types, shapes, and abilities. We have even had a grandmother go on to become the 2003 24 Hours of Adrenaline Solo World Champion.
You may not be able to repeat her success (although who's to say that you can't), but with our lessons you will be able to mountain bike easily and with out that learning curve full of crashing.
We ride at your pace. Because we take only one group at a time you won't be riding with strangers, and no one else will be pushing or holding up the group. We are comfortable riding at your pace and encourage you to take it nice and easy.

Lessons, break, short ride to reinforce the lessons, lunch, swimming, kayaking and chilling at the pond, second ride either single track or fire roads.
Deluxe tour
Lessons, break, short ride, lunch, going to the pond, either a second ride or kayaking down the scenic and gentle Juniata River or serene Meadow Grounds Lake, gourmet cookout, campfire, nature program with a live owl, stargazing with our 6" telescope.
3 Day Deluxe Package
Fri. dusk and night ride, (we supply the lights). Sat. same as deluxe tour. Sun. your choice of rides including the C&O Canal or Pike to Bike (we supply the lights).
Bonus
All tours are recorded with a digital camera including short movie clips. You take home a CD copy ready to email to jealous friends and show to eager children/grandchildren.

You can either camp here, or stay at several very comfortable and inexpensive nearby places.
Bike Rentals
If you don't have a bike, no problem, we have dual suspension Cannondale bikes for you to use
Food
Our lunches are great, including fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, fruit and herbs straight from our garden.
Time
We prefer to start at 9:00 AM and the Day Tour usually goes to around 5-6:00 a Deluxe Tour with star gazing lasts late into the evening.

Reservations
In order for us to devote our entire time and attention to you, and to hold our prices down we need to work on a reservation basis. All tours need to be reserved in advance and a deposit is required to hold the day. In case of rain (it needs to be raining here) the deposit will be applied to a new date. We take credit cards or checks.
